An explanation of the peer review activity you selected for the project you reviewed

I decided to give some advice on the conventions of a QRG.

An explanation of how you think you helped the author with your feedback (in other words, how did you help them make their work better?)

I think I helped Elizabeth utilize more of the QRG conventions that will maintain her readers attention.

An explanation of how you incorporated something from the suggested Student’s Guide readings (or any other course materials, if you’d prefer) into your feedback

I gave convention advice.

One thing about their work that you admired or think you could learn from

I liked the depth Elizabeth was able to achieve with her QRG

Editorial Report

This blog post will provide another editorial report for my final project

How did the content change (even slightly - details matter!) when you re-edited it? Why do you think the content is being communicated more effectively in the re-edited version?

I did not have content to start out with

How did the form change (even slightly - details matter!) when you re-edited it? Why do you think the form is presenting the content more effectively in the re-edited version?

I tried to be relatable.

Rough Cut

Research
I will reference my research report to show how in depth our research was. This will give my reader insight to our projects.
I will reference my February blog posts to show my readers how much research we needed to do on our interviewees. This makes me look credible to my audience.

Editorial Report

This blog post will provide one editorial report for my final project.

How did the content change (even slightly - details matter!) when you re-edited it? Why do you think the content is being communicated more effectively in the re-edited version?

I added actual content

How did the form change (even slightly - details matter!) when you re-edited it? Why do you think the form is presenting the content more effectively in the re-edited version?

I did not have a structure set up yet in the rough cut

Rough Cut

Body Section
Time management
Provide work / class / club schedule to allow my reader to understand how it was sometimes difficult to allow an excessive amount of time for English. This is important because they may be able to relate.
I will talk about other class tests and downfalls. This will provide reasons for not always prioritizing English assignments.

Re-Edited

Open Post to Peer Review

This blog post will provide a rough draft of my final project

Key information about your particular project that you would like anyone who peer reviews your draft to know

I wasn't sure if we were supposed to add specific things from our projects or just create an overview.

Major issues or weaknesses in the “Rough Cut” that you’re already aware of (as well as anything you’d like to know from your editors about those weaknesses)

I realize towards the end the topics are not as in detail but I'll add to them.

Major virtues or strengths in the “Rough Cut” that you’re already aware of (as well as anything you’d like to know from your editors about those strengths)

I really like the humanness or realness I added to this project.

I decided to review Coby's rough cut and make some global suggestions.

An explanation of how you think you helped the author with your feedback (in other words, how
did you help them make their work better?)

I think Coby already has an idea of more he is going to add to his conclusion but I think referencing his body paragraph topics would bring everything to a solid end.

An explanation of how you incorporated something from the suggested Student’s Guide readings
(or any other course materials, if you’d prefer) into your feedback

I just gave some global suggestions

One thing about their work that you admired or think you could learn from

I like the emotional appeal that Coby put in his conclusion.

Production Report

This blog post will provide a production report for my final project

How did you decide to use form to present your content in the raw material you’ve shared here? How did the conventions of your chosen genre influence your choices?

I am writing in paragraph form because I have left a standard college essay as my final genre.

How did the production of this raw material go? What kinds of any hiccups, challenges, successes, creative epiphanies, etc. occurred during the process?

This production was kind of easy considering I know everything about every project I have done so the words just kind of flowed.

Outline Item

In my closing I will reiterate some of my opening and explain how going back and analyzing my work and process will help me be able to know how to manage all of my topics for future assignments.

Adapted Outline Item

This class was difficult. It was an adjustment getting used to feeling as though I was not learning anything when I was and having to get over not wanting to do all the blog posts prior to the projects. Learning to adjust to our professor's grading style and getting used to having hours of English homework every weekend was definitely challenging but it taught me how to better manage my time while balancing my personal life. I also learned the importance of researching and how sources can either benefit or destroy you.

"In this section, I will introduce myself along with all of the projects we have done so far. I can provide references to my projects production work to help my reader understand my thought processes. Also i will provide background as to why I chose the topics I did."

Adapted Outline Item

We've all been there. A difficult class we didn't necessarily want to take but needed to because we were told to. We moan and we groan but, if we're diligent students, we get the job done. My name is Erin McCabe, freshman Veterinary Science Major at the University of Arizona, and this was my view going into my assigned English 109H class. The first week of class we were told we would have 4 projects, 4 genres, and weekly blog posts to complete. What? I have to do a controversy postmortem, rhetorical investigation, public argument, and a final while also figuring out how to manipulate those into either a quick reference guide, podcast, video essay, or college essay? No thank you. But did we do it? Yes. Was it difficult? Yes. Did I have a smile on my face the whole time? Definitely not.
